E-bay Splurge

I decided after a particularly stressful week last week (turning the big 30), I would go on a bit of an internet shopping splurge, to make myself feel better.

As anyone with children will tell you, internet shopping is an absolute life saver, it's far easier then dragging your brood around hot and busy shops, especially when you're not really looking for anything in particular, you just want a splurge. The fulfillment of a splurge would be completely over shadowed by the tantrums, stress and anxiety shopping centers cause.

So I took to ebay. I love ebay, I'm slightly obsessed and regularly have to take time-out's as I get a bit carried away with the whole bidding process. I have had some right bargains, like my sons Ted Baker dungarees at £4, which I love and I think i'll cry when they no longer fit him, because he looks super cute in them. But I've also had some right rubbish items like 99p make-up bags, all the way from China, that took 8 weeks to arrive and fell apart after a week, obviously worth the whole 99p then!!

This week I got...

A new case for my Ipad, which has a keyboard attached. I choose purple which I'm not to sure on now as it's a but bright for my liking! But for £11.99 who cares, it does the job and works really well.

A pair of black strappy heels, just because everyone needs black strappy heels, right?! And for £12.58 they are perfect. Not sure when I'm actually going to get a chance to wear them, but I'm prepared for any spontaneous nights out. yea right, because spontaneous and kids really works well.

A Zoelle make-up bag, because I'm one of them really annoying Zoelle fans!! I've wanted one of these for ages, so this week I thought f**k it why not?! it was my birthday after all. I choose the 'just say yes' design just to be a bit different. It was £10.96, I don't think this is any cheaper then it is in the shops though. It still hasn't arrived and i'm starting to get a little impatient!

A Bench purse to match my new bag, which I also got from ebay (not on this splurge though) which with delivery was about £10, it's really well made and looks lush.

I ordered a glasses case, to match my bag and purse, of course! At £1.99 you cant go wrong, except it's a bit narrow and rubbish, but will do for now.

And last but not least, a nomination charm, for my nomination bracelet that my lovely friends got me for my birthday. I choose 'Live Well, Love Much and Laugh Often' which I think is a pretty dam good life motto. I do loves a quote. I also got one for my mum for mothers day, that says 'I love my grandkids'.

All in all quite a successful splurge. I do feel slightly better, the deliveries were all spaced out over the week, so it's been nice having something to open everyday, especially as I've been stuck at home with a poorly boy and chicken pox.

So high five ebay you done good this time.

  3. Everything I try to buy on an auction always seems to go for astronomical prices. I do find it handy for buying stuff like cables and chargers.
