The happiness bug and me.
This is a rare occasion for me, I've had sleep, I feel human(ish) and happy ......... cue the happiness post :)
Carrying on from my post, Happiness and me.
Here is a list of the little things that I appreciate and that make me happy, please comment below on what makes you happy? Share the happiness people.
* Blue skies
* Sleepy cuddles
* Baby belly giggles
* Sand in my toes
* Nights off from cooking
* Appreciation from my blog
* Sweaty kettlebell sessions
* 8hrs uninterrupted sleep
* The Friday feeling
* Candles, they're just so dam relaxing.
* That 2 minute breather after the school/nursery run, ahhhhh.
* Strawberry cider on a summers day
* The bottom of the washing basket, such a grown up thing to say.
* Reminiscing with old friends
* Finding blogs you can relate to and make you feel human again
* Songs that bring back memories of good times, mine shamefully is H to 0 - what's it gunna be. *Cringe*
* Receiving unexpected texts from my better half
* Cards for no reason, just because. Like the one displayed above which I received off two dear friends who thought I needed cheering up, it did the job. I've had this in my purse for going on 6 years and it still makes me smile.
* Reading a good blog and being able to totally relate and feeling more normal again. Lots of Unmumsy Mum's blogs do this for me.
Tomorrow I'll be back to my sleep deprived, miserable self with more posts like Ranting and me but for today I'm going to embrace the happiness bug.
Keep smiling people summer is coming and its Friday ☀️๐๐๐❤️

Happiness and me :)

The subject of 'Happiness' seems to be hot topic of conversation everywhere at the moment. What makes us happy? How can we be happier? and so on.
*Warning* this post doesn't contain the answers and probably isn't going to be very life changing, But I have found a few interesting things about this whole happiness lark.
1) I came across this post 17 ways to make yourself happier right now by my favourite blogger Hannah Gale, I agree with most of them apart from the Yorkshire pudding, what the hell?! It has to be pizza for me.
2) Last week Chris Evans on the breakfast show-Radio 2 interviewed Roko Belic on his film 'Happiness' (which a lovely twitter follower found on Netflix for me, Hurray for social media) The film takes viewers on a journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the slums of Kolkata in search of what really makes people happy. Check out the website here I'm yet to watch it in full, I've had no spare grown-up time, but sounds interesting.
3) The United Nations has declared the 20th March as the first ever International Day of Happiness. It hopes the initiative will encourage governments to consider the well-being of people, rather than focusing efforts solely on economic growth. But can a day really signify happiness. check out the website Day of happiness which focuses on making the world a happier and more connected place. A poster from the website is displayed below, its ten keys to a happier living are based on an extensive review of the latest findings from the science of wellbeing. They are all areas which research shows tend to make a big difference to our happiness and are within our control.
******* My view ********
In todays society we're often made to feel as though we're lacking in something, whether this be via advertising, social media or our peer's. This results in our constant pursuit for happiness and usually involves spending and buying things we don't need, with money we don't have. If you seek happiness through the eyes of someone else, you'll be forever chasing happiness. Social media has a big part to play in making peoples lives LOOK perfect and happy and therefore making us envious and needy.
When really happiness comes from within, I know a big clichรฉ.
It cannot be bought or manufactured, you need to decide for yourself to be happy and then find your own kind of happiness. What makes YOU happy? What is key to your happiness?
But is this constant pursuit for happiness really achievable? In reality, its ok not be happy all of the time. I for one enjoy being miserable sometimes, I love a rant and a good moan but I also appreciate the things that make me happy.
Please check out my follow on post Happiness Bug and me.

March Round-up
Wow March has been and gone and Spring is here.
I decided instead of doing a separate post of monthly favorites and a round-up post I would combine the two. So here goes.........
* My March round-up *
* Kettlercise
I was so glad it was back!!! But as a result of having a month off I ached like hell for days after, they say no pain no gain...but Ouch! For those who don't know what it is here's a link Kettlercise website it's my all time favorite exercise class.
* Chicken pox
For the second time, this time they did a proper job on my little man, he was covered and he was defiantly poorly as he actually slept!! I managed to work from home quite a bit of the time and my partner luckily was able to have time off too so we could share the time off work. Three weeks on and he still has a few dried up spots waiting to fall off.
* My little diva turns 6!
I'm secretly very sad about this, I have a 6 year old child,
how the frigging hell did that happen? My baby grew up.
Heres my post dedicated to my little diva The joys of a little diva
*Yes that is a One Direction cake and badge (with all 5 members on)*
* Mothers Day
I had lovely hand made gifts from my children, an amazing Indian takeaway and then lunch out with the mother-in-law, less said about that the better. Also my daughter drew a picture for the local paper, this made me an emotional mess.
* Finding a house
Finally, we have found a suitable house and plan to move in a weeks time.
For anyone who hasn't read my moving posts here they are Part 1 and Part 2 look out for more posts next month.
* March Fav's *
* Lucozade, Caribbean crush
This stuff has been my life savour through my sleep deprived days its also so refreshing and summery. It reminds me of Lit, which you don't see around much anymore.
* E-bay
I had a bit of spare money, thanks to my birthday so I went on a bit of a splurge on e-bay, it was quite successful, but it's not always with e-bay. You can get some good bargains but you can also get carried away with the bidding war! Here is my post on what I splurged on E-bay Splurge
* Joma Jewelry
I got a ring from my babies for mothers day, I love it. I also have the ear-rings to match which I got for my birthday. Joma jewelry is my favorites because it's so affordable and so pretty.
* March Fails *
* Comic relief and funny faces day
My daughter was sick in school and sent home the day before, so she wasn't allowed back in school for 48hrs even though she was perfectly fine as soon as I got her home grrr!
So face paints and wig wasted.
* Packing
Turns out it's a lot harder then I thought to get motivated,
with 7 days to go I've packed 1 box, 3 times!
* My Granddad sadly passed away, Which really sucks.
It was expected as he was very ill but he got very ill very quickly so it was still a shock, he was an amazing character who made everyone laugh.
Here is my post The whole dying lark
